Celebrity Horoscope

Alan Carr

Born on the 14th July 1976, Alan Carr has the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Cancer. Cancer is a sign of great complexity and depth. Cancerians are good at putting on a performance and will play any role as a way to camouflage their true feelings. Laughing at life can be a form of self-protection. Underneath his confident exterior lies a vortex of shifting feelings and moods. According to Carr, he never wanted to be a comedian. He used to work at a call centre and it was a gypsy fortune teller in Camden who told him that one day he would make a living from writing and performing comedy. He started telling people about the ‘weirdoes that rang up’ and they’d laugh so he entered the BBC New Comedian of the Year and won.

The gentle, sensitive Cancerian has a secretive side that can prompt matter-of-fact criticism. Ordinarily, sympathetic, gentle and empathetic, the Cancerian can also make droll and amusing observations about life and in Alan’s case his wonderful sense of absurdity has changed his life.

Cancer is a conservative sign and Alan’s neatly buttoned shirt, jeans and sensible glasses make him look more like a solicitous nephew than a stand-up comic. His charming humour and lack of pretension has served him well and although he dislikes the trappings of celebrity, as a Cancerian, he will value the security success brings.

With Mercury and Venus in Cancer, Alan avoids unnecessary cruelty and relies on his own genuineness to win an audience. His on-stage persona is an extension of himself and a part of what his fans like about him is his natural Cancerian empathy. Although he draws on personal experience for his sketches, he is not resentful or bitter. With the Sun close to Venus in his chart, linking with Jupiter, he quickly bounces back when things get him down. He is the type who has the ability to bring sunshine into other people’s lives because of his affectionate, cheerful and optimistic personality.

His Aquarius Moon suggests an unconventional side and a need for emotional independence. Jupiter’s influence on his Mercury placement makes him philosophical in thought and direct in action. Once Alan makes his mind up about doing something, he will do it!

With Venus close to Saturn and Mars in Virgo, the partner he chooses is likely to be surprisingly conservative in nature and mature in outlook and with Jupiter in Taurus, Alan has a way of attracting money!

He will always act on his feelings. He has great drive and will continue to lavish great energy on his career over the year ahead.
